Pyromusical Love & Fun

Each year, my partner and I have been looking forward for the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition at SM Mall of Asia. He was the one who introduced me the beauty of Pyromusical displays. It has always been a bonding moment for us too, as we watch the awesome fireworks from different countries played in sync with music.

For this year, the schedule was as follows:
Feb. 16: Japan & Finland
Feb. 23: Taiwan & Spain
Mar. 02: United Kingdom & South Korea
Mar. 09: Italy & The Netherlands
Mar. 16: China & Australia
Mar. 23: Canada & Philippines

We were able to watch for 3 weekends, Feb. 16, Mar. 16 & Mar. 23. For the first week, we stayed in the Gold Area (we brought our own chair with us ^_^). Oy Pyroman Finland's display was really awesome! Too bad we were not able to bring video camera that day. The second time we watch, we stayed in the VIP area (Haha! I bought ticket from Metrodeal :p). This time, we are truly amazed with Liuyang New Year Fireworks Manufacturing of China! The display was so beautiful compared to China's presentation the previous year which had a lot of dead air.

For the final week, last year's champion, Fireworks Spectacular of Canada lit the sky brightly with colors in sync with their music. We also stayed in the VIP area that night. After Canada's presentation, the winners for the competition were announced.

Champion
Jubilee Fireworks Ltd. of United Kingdom

1st Runners Up
Liuyang New Year Fireworks Manufacturing Co., Ltd. of China
Fireworks Spectacular of Canada

2nd Runner Up
Oy Pyroman Finland Ltd. of Finland

I was a bit sad since I was not able to watch UK's display live. I have only seen it on video. Yet, I can say that they really deserve the first place.

After the announcement of winners, everyone was excited for the closing exhibition of our very own Platinum Fireworks. As expected, they have surprised everyone with their one of a kind display. I suddenly wished that I should have stayed in the veranda area for me to see every thing clearly since some fireworks are quite close to where I was seated.

For anyone who missed the awesome closing exhibition, here is the video from Platinum Firework of the Republic of the Philippines! Enjoy!

Definitely, I will be watching more of these pyromusical event next year. For sure, they would have developed new breed of displays by then. Of course, I will watch again with my love ones ♥

ONE OK ROCK Tribute Night

Last March 02, 2013, One OK Rock fans gathered on the Freedom Bar to listen to local J-Rock cover bands performing One OK Rock songs. Though most bands include just a single One OK Rock song in their sets, I can say that the night really rocked!

The event was brought by brought to you by P.O.O.R (Philippines' One OK ROCKers) and AMUSE Philippines!

There are a lot of great bands who have performed in this event. Yet, I am really sorry for not being able to watch all of them. It's either I went out to have dinner, talk outside with friends, went downstairs to review ours songs.. etc. :)

So here are some of the awesome bands that I have watched that night.

Asian Chicken Fest

I really like the way they performed Chatmonchy songs! The vocalist, Miji, have that very very "kawaii" voice. I hope they will perform more Chatmonchy songs. And yes, their ONE OK Rock song was full of energy (as expected from Kirby). So here's a video of one of their songs that night. :)

Stigma Of Disgrace

I don't know if there anyone inside (and outside) of Freedom bar who did not love Stigma of Disgrace's performance. As always, they have rocked the night and the people head banged with them. The crowd requested an encore, of course. (if only I can request 3 more songs from them ^_^)

Shinkan

I'll try not to biased since I am a part of this band, hehe! For Shinkan, I have to swap instruments with the guitarist since the pops and slaps of the bass are too much for me. We also invited a male vocalist for our One OK Rock song. So here's our Crazy Botch!

Mixed Nuts

This is my first time to watch this band and I find them really nice. Aside from the fact that they have a very pretty vocalist, their music is very pleasing to the ears. So here is a sample video of one of their awesome version of It's Gonna Rain from the anime Rurouni Kenshin.

Dreamsicle

The all-female trio performed a Kalafina song as requested by someone from Amuse Philippines. It was our first time to cover a Kalafina song and I think it isn't bad at all.. hehe. And for our One OK Rock song, we performed it with the band Asterysk*. Here's the video of our heart-warming "Wherever You Are" with Asterysk*.

Asterysk*

Last but definitely not the least, Asterysk*!!! I can't find the right words to express how awesome they are that night. I am very sure that they gave the crowd an amazing One OK Rock experience. So here is one of their videos (check their page for more!)

I'm quite sorry that I have not watched all the bands. I'm sure I'll be able to watch them on other events soon.

Thanks for reading! Rock en Roll!

P.S.
Thanks to JP, to P.O.O.R, & to Amuse Philippines :)
