Step1.
Download Framaroot APK. [click here]
Scroll down the page and you'll see the download links. As for me, I used version 1.5.3
Step2.
Get your phone ready.
Go to Settings > Personal > Security Setting and enable "Unknown Source"
Go to Settings > System > Developer Option and enable "USB Debugging"
Step 3.
Copy the Framaroot APK on your phone and install it.
Step 4.
Now, open the Framaroot app and select "Install SuperSU"
After that, select "Boromir"
You will then see a notification that your phone has been rooted.
Step 5.
Reboot your phone.
Step 6.
Check if you have root access by installing "Root Checker Basic" app. This app is available at Google Play Store.
Install the app and click, "verify root access". You will then see if you are actually able to root your phone.
That's it! You can now enjoy the privileges of root access.
If you want to unroot your phone, you can run again the Framaroot App and select "unroot".
Double check again using the Root Checker Basic app.
Hope this helped :)

ReplyDeleteWhoever facing on problem of root checker issue "this device does not have proper access" , Kindly do the switch off the phone and take out battery and on once put in the battery. If problem still there then have to re-root and give the permission from super user. It should works cause its working on my Levono P770.
ReplyDeleteHi Gauraw,
DeleteI tried everything as mentioned in your blog, but still not able to root my P770.
"give the permission from super user" - Not sure if this is an extra step I have to do. Can you please advise?
Cheers,
Guru
Thanks Icel. This procedure worked just fine on my P770. I deleted a lot of the unwanted pre-installed apps.
ReplyDeleteJohnny
great. It frees up space :)
DeleteHi Icel, just saw this post and decided to try out... It worked... And it is simpler than any rooting methods... And minus the risk of bricking the device... Just that we need to use Package installer rather than Google's installer (which will check your package and scares you with all the warnings)... It took me less than a minute... Thanks! :)
ReplyDeletecool :)
